Language Arts- This past week our stories were called, "The Impossible Pet Show", "The Talented Clementine" and Clementine and the Family Meeting".  We concentrated on vocabulary, point of view, and asking and answering questions. The Genre was realistic fiction, where the stories we read are fiction, but could have really taken place.  We did not test on the skills because of the short week combined with Valentine's Day.

This week we also will not be testing over the skills as we are practicing test taking strategies. 

Math- This week and the past week we have been working on Fractions within topic 12.  We are currently focusing on placing fractions on a number line and will be moving into plotting them on a number line.  Topic 12 test will be next week, I will let you know of an exact date later this week. 

Social Studies- Currently we are learning about the three branches of the government and how our government works. 

Writing- We will be writing an opinion piece. This will be continuing into next week. 

A couple things-

March 10th conferences are coming up. If you feel that you need a conference, Mrs. Isaly-Johns will be sending out a link this Friday.
