Language Arts- This past week we read "Nail Soup", "The Real Story of Stone Soup", and "Healthful Food Choices".  Our essential question was, What Choices are good for us?  We concentrated on vocabulary, point of view, and asking and answering questions. This coming week we will be continuing with these same skills and adding contractions with not, plurals, and prefixes into the mix.  The Genre will be realistic fiction, where the stories we read are fiction, but could have really taken place. Our stories are called, "The Impossible Pet Show", "The Talented Clementine" and Clementine and the Family Meeting".

Math- This week we worked on multiplication again with multiply by multiples on 10. This is a very short topic and we will be taking a quiz, rather than a test, on Monday. To prepare kids can be studying their multiplication facts. I this point in the year kids should really have a food foundation of their facts 0-11's. Please ahve then practice throughout the week to prepare for fourth grade math. After that we will move onto topic 12, Fractions. and come back to 11 later in the year.

Social Studies- This week we wrapped up our science unit on Rocks and Minerals and will be moving onto learning about how America runs.
