Language Arts-  Cooperation is key!
This week's story focused on the essential question, Why is working together a good way to solve a problem?  We read the stories, "Anansi Learns a Lesson", "Roadrunner's Dance", and "Deltona Is Going Batty".  The stories were Folktales so we discussed how folktales have a theme and teach a lesson. We focused on the following...
-Strategy:Make, Confirm, and Revise Predictions
-Skill:Theme
-Phonics: long i and long u
-Plural words with the words ending in a consonant and the letter y
-Kinds of nouns
-building vocabulary

Math- This week we learned how to use a multiplication table. Topic 5 is a short topic and we will being taking a short test on Tuesday. Topic 6 will begin on Wednesday and we will continue it through to Thanksgiving into the week after. 

Writing- We working a a narrative writing piece this week about a time when it rained. 

Social Studies- we are learning about communities. 

Just an FYI- Thursday and Friday I had to take personal days because my own kids were out of school and we had cancellations, due to COVID, for childcare.
