Language Arts- 

This past week we finished reading Fantastic Mr. Fox by Roald Dahl. On Friday we used evidence from Fantastic Mr. Fox to have a trial pinning the fox in the story against the farmers.  The class was divided into two different sides and everyone presented a statement  for their side.  After listening to these, along with opening and closing arguments, the farmers had a stronger case and won.
This week we will begin Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. More fun to come!


Writing- Our last writing assignment was sent home on Thursday and will be due this  Friday, May 11th. I was out Friday afternoon for a district meet so I sent it home a day early.  

Math- We are working on topic 14 on time and measurement.
