Language Arts-This week and last week we have been reading Charlie and the Chocolate factory.  We have been reading 2 chapters a day and completing comprehension questions to go along with the chapters.  We have also been watching a few clips from the latest movie to help bring it to life after we read certain chapters. This week we will also be beginning our Factory group projects where we will be creating poster describing the rooms in the factory and a couple key characters.
In Writing we began writing a research paper about a famous American Symbol which they choose from a cup.  The kids have been working on a graphic to help sort through information and a rough draft.  They will then be making a final copy and telling the class about their symbol.

Math- We are wrapping up Topic 16 in math and our review will begin tomorrow. Test for this topic will be Wednesday. After this topic we will be working on the section in our books called, stepping up to 4th grade.

It looks like the weather is finally turning, please make sure to send in water bottles to help keep your kids cool during the day.
The Color-a-Thon was fun today.  Thank you to all the parents that volunteered their time and resources.

A Look Ahead...
May 24th- End of the year filed trip to ALPS, 11:30-1:30.  We will be walking.  All parents are welcome to attend.  Mrs. Grabowski will be contacting you soon with more information.

May 29th- No school-Memorial Day
May 31st- Activity Day 1-3
June 1st- Kids Last Day and talent show
