Language Arts- This week we will read poems that talked about how we are inspired by others.  We discussed the parts of a poem and also the different types of a poem.  We also wrote limericks in honor of St. Patrick's Day.  This week is a unit review week.  We will be practicing reading passages and answering questions while having to locate evidence within the text.  There will be no spelling this week.  

Math- This week we will be finishing up with topic 13 in math and taking the test on Tuesday.  We will be beginning Topic 14 on time, capacity, and mass.  A new scale will be coming home this week to review.

A Look Ahead

-   Next week we will beginning ELA State testing.  The tests will be on Wednesday and Friday.  The falling week will be the math portion of the tests and they will also be on Wednesday and Friday.  

-The end of the quarter is approaching. We will be wrapping up what we have been working on.
