Language Arts- This week we will read the stories, "Gray Wolf! Red Fox!", Amazing Wildlife of the Mojave", and Little Half Chick.  Each of these stories are Realistic Fiction.  We will be comparing and contrasting and using sentence clues to figure out meanings of vocabulary words.  We will also be working on Main and Helping verbs.  We will begin Unit 4 week 3 this week, but will not finish it until next Tuesday because of the field trip this week and our visit from Cosi.  

Math- This week we will be finishing up with topic 12 in math and taking the test on Friday.

A Look Ahead

-   One District, one book has begun.  I sent home books and packets onFriday and Tuesday is the first reading night.  The calendar is in the packet.


-Field Trip is This Thursday, February 23rd.  Kids will need a lunch packed in a disposable bag with their name on it.  No containers may be sent in.

-COSI will be Wednesday, February 22nd.  They will have fun learning about science going around to different stations.

-March 1st we will be going across the street to the library for a science field trip.
