Language Arts/writing-  We will be reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for three weeks.  We typically will be reading 2 chapters a day and completing packet pages that go along with them. With this we will be completing a writing project that has the children completing summaries for each room/character.  The children will then be creating a Google slide show in class and presenting their projects to us. 

Math-  We have been working on solving time, capacity, and, mass.  Topic 14.  We will be testing over this topic on Wednesday this week and begin 15 on Friday.

Social Studies/science- because of testing this week and the book fair we will not be switching this week.  Next week we will be switching to Mr. Pro's for Social Studies for the next 6 weeks. 

 

Upcoming events and news...

This week we will be taking our final MAPS tests of the year.  Tuesday we will be taking the reading portion and Thursday we will be taking the math.  Please make sure that your child eats a balanced breakfast and gets to sleep on time.

 

Next week we will be beginning AIR testing on Wednesday and Friday. next week will be the reading portion, the following week will be on the same days, but with math. 

 

Next Monday will be spring pictures. 

 

I haven't been asking for volunteers since there has been changes to scheduling because of testing throughout the school.  I will post for more as soon as everything gets back to normal.  Thank you.
