Thank you for being patient with our school email being down. It is currently still not running so please make sure that you send in a note or call if you need to get in touch with me. As of right now I am not sure when it will be up again. This next week we will be beginning the story If Your Name Was Changed on Ellis Island. We will be focusing on main idea and supporting details within the chapters of the story. This is one of my favorite stories, it is very interesting and I recommend buying a copy :) In math we have been working on Fluently Multiplying and Dividing within 100. The subtopic within this topic are a lot of review for them and it has given us more opportunity to practice our facts. Please make sure that your children are practicing their facts each night and recording it their logs. These logs are due back on Friday and are worth 10 points total.
Next week we will be switching again for Social Studies/Science. Our class will be going to Mr. Provenza for the next 6 weeks for another Strand of Social Studies beginning on Wednesday.
We have a field trip on Tuesday to the library and also on Tuesday we will be taking a practice test for our state testing this year. I believe the practice is only 6 questions in length. This will not count, but will give the kids an idea of what the real test will look like that we take in December. Have a wonderful weekend.
