This week, and next week, in Language Arts we will be reading Ramona Forever. Our focus for this story will be studying Ramona's character traits, vocabulary, recalling important events within the story, being able to recognize what makes it a realistic fiction story, and being able to interpret events in the story and why they occur. This is a fun story for third graders.
In math we will be wrapping up our Topic 3 with a test onTuesday. I sent home Monday's homework for a chance to begin studying for the Tuesday test. Earlier tonight I sent answers to this homework home so you could help you child study. Please let m know if you have any questions. We will be beginning the new topic on Wednesday, Using Multiplication to Divide: Division Facts. It is really important to have your child practice their multiplication facts each night. I have flashcards sent to the printer and I will be sending home a copy for them to use at home as soon as they get back.
In writing we have begun our Halloween stories. We go through a Haunter House on a flip chart and use our senses to write a story on what we see and hear.
Science has begun with Mrs. Austin!
Please remember there will be no school on Friday for NEOEA Day. Have a wonderful week.
