Good Evening, I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  I had a family wedding out of town and then the Brown's game today so it was busy for me.
In reading we are still going to be focusing on character traits in our story Ramona.  We will be discussing that character traits are not just things you can seem, but are more about what you can't see that tells you about the person, for example courageous.  Our test over this story will be Friday.
In math we will be continuing to work on division.  It is really important that we learn our multiplication facts.  I have sent home flashcards for each child, please make sure they are practicing each night.  Knowing these fact will make it much easier for them to move onto division.
We are continuing to work on our Halloween stories in writing.  Tuesday the fire house will be coming to Erieview and third grade will have the opportunity to go inside and experience what it would like if they were inside a house that was on fire and they had to get out.  The house will be dark and filled with fake smoke and they will have to escape through a window.  The firemen that come will also be speaking with them about safety during a fire.  Have a great week.
