Language Arts- In third grade we have been reading the story "Fantastic Mr. Fox" by Roald Dahl. We have been working on characterization as well as figurative language. This kids have really been enjoying this story which we will finish on Wednesday.
Math- We spent this week reviewing all of our third grade math concepts in preparation for our final 3rd grade Ohio State Test in mathematics as well as learning about perimeter and 2d shapes. Testing will take place this upcoming Monday and Tuesday mornings.
Science- We began learning about a frog's life cycle. Have your heard about our new class pet, Gizmo the tadpole? He is still in the tadpole with back legs and newly sprouted front legs, but he's growing bigger each day.

Parents/Guardians are welcome to view our outdoor Heavenly Hat Parade in the front of Erieview. The students with the most creative hats will be the parade leaders and earn an ice cream party. (weather permitting)

Our class will take a field trip to discover the history of Avon Lake. All parents are welcome to chaperone the second portion of our trip to the Cemetery on Lake Rd. and Veterans Memorial park for a picnic lunch. More information to come. (this portion of the trip is weather permitting)
