We made it through our first, and hopefully our only, online week for the year. Everyone did very well. Thank you for all of your support. It definitely was an adjustment, but I am glad to be seeing everyone tomorrow.

Please remind your children to return everything to school tomorrow, including their chargers if they had taken home a Chromebook.  Also, the plastic baggies I had sent home along with any work and books.

Language Arts- This week our Essential question is, How can one person change the way you think?  We will read 2 stories that are historical fiction and talk about how one person can inspire us to do better.  We will read about a little girl that didn't want to learn to read until she met Abe Lincoln and the other story is about boy that was not aloud in the library, because of his race, until a librarian snuck him in.  We will work on cause and effect, idioms, and visualizing the stories.

Math- We are working in Topic 8, Using strategies and properties to add and subtract.  We are aiming for Wednesday, January 20th for our test over this topic.

Science- We are continuing to work on Earth Science by learning about Earth's resources. This week we will be reading about Rocks and Minerals and comparing rocks. We will also be doing an experiment on Cave Crystals.
