The past two weeks we have been working hard on reviewing concepts from the end of last year and benchmark testing to see where all the kids are at. There has been a lot of new routines to follow and new programs to explore on our Chromebooks. Next week we will be getting into our core programs. 

 Language Arts- Next week we will begin our Wonders reading program.  The program begins with short stories that emphasize different text features and skills that third graders will see throughout the year.   We will have weekly tests that will be skilled based rather than about actual details of the story. For the first couple weeks will be completing these together.  The vocabulary words will be part of the Friday Reading test. 

Writing-  Each Monday we will be journaling about our weekend. We will also be writing throughout the week with our Wonders program.

Math- We will begin topic 1- Understanding Multiplication and Division. We will be practicing different strategies to solve multiplication problems.
