Our stories this week focused on the
Oregon Trail as well as the Transcontinental Railroad. We learned many
interesting facts about them and also got to play the Oregon Trail game on our
Chromebooks that helped the kids to get an idea of what the 5 month long
journey was all about.
Next week is our review week so there
will not be any spelling list coming home on Friday.
We will also be working on writing an
opinion piece about our favorite story that we have read in our anthology this
year so far.
Math- We are
working in Topic 8, Using strategies and properties to add and subtract. We
are aiming for Friday, February 2nd for our test over this topic.
Please continue to practice math facts nightly.
