Language Arts-
This week's story focused on the essential question, How can one person make a difference? This week we read many poems that had to do with this essential question. We focused on the following...
-Strategy: Idioms
-Skill:Cause and Effect, visualizing
-Building vocabulary
-Spelling-Words r-controlled words
Math- We are finishing up topic 6 and will taking our test on Monday. It is not my policy to give a test on Monday's, but because of the changes in our schedules due to the music practices, MAPS testing, and other holiday events, it works out to be the best day for the test. Topic 6 is on Area as it is related to multiplication and kids will be able to use grid paper on the test to help them with taking the test. We will take the test online again. As always children will have the opportunity to earn extra points if they score below a C- on the test.
