Language Arts-  This week's story focused on the essential question, How can problem solving lead to new ideas?  We read the stories, "Mary Andresen’s Great Invention", “Lighting the World”, and "All Aboard".  The stories were biographies and told the true story of a person's life. We discussed metaphors, subjects and predicates and introduced cause and effect
Math- We are working on topic 3 and continuing to learn our multiplication facts as well as learn about the associate property of multiplication.  Next week we will continue to learn about multiplying other factors and introduce the associate property.  Our test over topic 3 will not be until the week of October 16th since we have a few days off in there.  Please note that topic 2 test is coming home Friday.
