Language Arts- This week's story also focused on the essential question, "what can stories teach you? We read the story, "Wolf" and "Jennie and the Wolf". We discussed what a moral of a story is and what these stories morals were.
We also began our first writing project, writing a friendly letter. We worked on the parts of a letter and are beginning to piece it together this week. We also worked on a reading test together online. We will not be counting this for a grade, but it was good practice together.

Math- In math we took our first test over topic 1 and tomorrow we will be beginning topic 2, Multiplication facts. We will be starting with learning 2 and 5 as factors and continuing to grow our facts from there. Please practice math facts nightly.
Social Studies- We will working with timelines this week as well as discussing Avon Lake History.
Please look at your child's planner each night. Also, please be sure to look through your child's binder each Friday when we send home papers from that week. Folders were still packed full when many returned to school on Tuesday.
