Why do people immigrate to new places?
This week we are reading the stories, "Sailing To American", " The Castle on Hester Street" and "Next Stop, America". This week we will be working on similes and singular and plural nouns. We will also be discussing the theme of the stories and work on making predictions and inferences while we are reading.

Math- This week we will working on Topic 5, fluently multiply and divide within 100. We will be learning how to use a multiplication table and looking for patterns in one. To assist with homework that they will have this week, there is a multiplication chart in their planners.
A few more things...
Please have your children wear their Halloween costumes to school tomorrow and either have their clothes underneath or bring a change of clothes so they don't have to sit in them all day long. I will not be giving homework tomorrow night except to have a safe and fun Halloween.
Also, Third Grade ELA test will be coming November 8 and 9th. These will be given on their Chromebooks.
