Brrr! We knew the snow would get here, but I'm still not ready.
This past week we read a story called, "How My Family Lives in America". This was a non-fiction story about a Chinese American family that experiences life with both American and Chinese cultures. It was full of interesting facts and fun to learn about a different culture. We concentrated on vocabulary, text features, as well as main idea and supporting details. In math we began our topic on representing and interpreting data. This has been a fun and engaging unit for our class. We will wrap up this unit on Monday, review on Tuesday, and take a test on Wednesday this week. This week marks the end of switching to Mr. Provenza's class and they will be returning to our classroom for Economics next week. Also, this week marks the end of the second quarter. There will be no school on Friday, teachers have an inservice, and no school Monday in observation of Martin Luther King, Jr. day. Have a great week, stay warm.
