Language Arts- 

We are beginning Unit 5 of our Wonders program.  Along with this we are beginning the Fourth Quarter of third grade!  
This week's story focused on the essential question- How do we get what we need? 
We focused on the following...
Genre: Fairytales

-Strategy: Summarizing

-Skill: Point of view

-Vocabulary- Root Words

-Spelling- Compound Words

-Phonics- Consonants + le Syllables
-Grammar- Singular, Personal, Plural Nouns

Our stories this week are Fairytales.  We will be reading stories this week and summarizing events that take place.  We will also be discussing the Point of View, comparing the perspective that the author has in the story to their own.  

In writing we have been working on composing a Fictional Narrative and hope to wrap it up this week.

Math- We will be finishing up Topic 12 and taking our test on Thursday.  From there we will be reviewing this year thus far and exploring future topics which will lead us into Spring break.
