I can't believe this is the last week before winter break!  We have a lot going on this week and so there will NOT be any spelling this week.  Last week we read "Too Many Tamales" in reading and concentrated on vocabulary and different story elements.  There was not a test on this story, rather a worksheet we worked on together.  In math we finished up topic 6 and we will be taking a test over this topic on Wednesday.  The review practice test will be sent on today to have finished for Wednesday.  Do a little each night for review, I will be sending home the answers via email to help guide your children.  In writing this week we will be working on an opinion piece and reading form our Storyworks magazine, we will also be reading a story from this magazine for our weekly story.  We will not be having a test over this.  There are a lot of fun things going on this week in preparation for our winter break. Monday we have the Holiday shoppe and high school kids coming to read to our class, Tuesday we have rehearsal for the concert, Wednesday we have our music program, Thursday we have our class party, and Friday we have high school kids coming over to put on a show for us, PJ day and a class movie.  Have a wonderful and safe Winter break!
