Language Arts- The next 3 weeks we will be taking a detour from out Reading program and reading Fantastic Mr. Fox by Roald Dahl. We will be studying character traits as well as figurative language.  During this time we will be doing project based learning activities and we will not be having our typical Friday reading tests.  We also will not be having spelling until after spring break.  

Writing- We are continuing to write throughout each week.  We journal, as well as practice writing multi-paragraph writing.  Our latest piece was an opinion piece on if we should squish ants.  This was in response to reading the story, "Hey, Little Ant".  

Math- Last week we finished up Topic 12 on fractions. This week we began Topic 16 on perimeter.  We jumped to this topic to work around our testing schedule.  

Please make sure your kids are well rested the night before testing and they eat a healthy breakfast.
